Poison message and head-of-line blocking

In a strictly ordered partition, one message always crashes the consumer. Why is moving it to a DLQ nontrivial?
Options
  1. 1Skipping it may break ordering guarantees for subsequent messages that depend on it
  2. 2DLQs cannot store binary payloads, so a crashing message with serialized bytes cannot be routed out
  3. 3Kafka does not support dead letter queues, so there is no built-in way to divert a poison-pill message
  4. 4The broker must be restarted to skip the message, and that loses in-flight offsets for the partition
