Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Code Royale ("we", "us") collects when you use the site, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights. We keep things minimal: we only collect what the game needs to work.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — when you sign in with GitHub or X, we store your username, a profile picture URL and a unique identifier.
- Game data — your Elo rating, battle history, streaks, badges, and per-arena ratings. This is what makes the leaderboards and progression work.
- Preferences — your language and editor preferences, stored locally in your browser.
- Guest data — if you play as a guest, we generate a temporary identifier so the match works, but it is not tied to a real identity.
2. Cookies and third-party services
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate usage, and Google AdSense to serve ads. These are third-party services that may set cookies:
- AdSense cookies — Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- The DART cookie — enables Google to serve ads based on your visits. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info.
You can disable or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Functional cookies (language preference) are stored locally and do not identify you across sites.
3. How we use your data
- To run matches, matchmaking, Elo and leaderboards.
- To save your progress between sessions.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve the game.
We do not sell your personal data, and we never post on your behalf without permission.
4. Legal bases and retention
We process data on the basis of your consent (signing in) and legitimate interest (running the game). Game data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion at any time (see Contact).
5. Your rights (LGPD / GDPR)
Under the Brazilian LGPD and the EU GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at x.com/dionisiodev.
6. Children
Code Royale is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with the "Last updated" date.
